Apple notebook3/19/2023 Whether it’s the new 16-inch MacBook Pro that just came out or the Mac Pro 2019 that’s also just released, it’s not hard to see why the best Mac and MacBooks are the weapons of choice of creative professionals.Īnd, even if you don’t go for the newest releases, there’s already a few excellent options to choose from, especially with Apple recently giving its MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro and 15-inch MacBook Pro that much-needed update. Read the in-depth iMac (27-inch, 2020) review What to look for in the best Macs and MacBooks Sure, its overall design hasn’t seen so much as a tweak, making it look a bit tired, but if power is at the top of your list, this one’s the best Mac for you. More people are working from home these days, and this seems like the best all-in-one PC to invest in without being forced to make some considerable space in your existing area. Specs-wise, this model sports some massive improvements while also upgrading its webcam and microphones for a felicitous update. Read our in-depth MacBook Pro 13-inch (M2, 2022) reviewĮven though the iMac 27-inch’s last update was only last year, Apple couldn’t help but step up in the upgrades department with its 2020 follow-up. That's while keeping the same price tag as before. It also scored around twice as much as the Intel Core i7-1185G7-powered Surface Laptop 4, and lasted almost two hours longer than the M1 MacBook Pro 13-inch in our battery life test. That means a noticeable boost in its multitasking capabilities, allowing users to open and utilize various applications open at once. In our tests, this 2022 model achieved better performance in both single and multi-core CPU tests. If you already have the M1 MacBook Pro 13-inch, this might not be worth an upgrade – unless, of course, you need a bit more power. However, while there's nothing exciting about its outside, Apple’s brand-new M2 chip certainly makes up for it in a massive way. The Apple MacBook Pro 13-inch (M2, 2022) might not come with a new design update, which makes it look and feel a bit redundant, especially because the M1 version is pretty impressive in its own right. So, whether you want to make the switch to the macOS environment or are upgrading from your aging one, they're the first ones you should consider. The best MacBook and Macs deliver a smoother, more streamlined, and more stable experience than what Windows laptops can offer, despite their best efforts. And, we cannot wait for what Apple has in store next – although it seems unlikely that the upcoming Apple Far Out September event will launch any new PC or laptop from Apple. The 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros blew us away last year while this year's compact Mac Studio is the embodiment of how a brilliant workstation PC for creatives should perform. That includes the ones that are best-suited for regular consumers, giving non-pros a taste of just how impressive pro-level machines are, especially when paired with the simplicity of a macOS ecosystem. They're more powerful and more power efficient than ever. Once this deal ends, students can still save on the MacBook Air by taking advantage of the Apple student discount - check out our guide to find out more. The best laptops and best computers from Apple are once again showing up Intel-powered laptops in a big way. While there’s an argument for additional memory or a larger storage drive (this configuration comes with 256GB), there’s a lot to like here – particularly at this price. Speaking of compatibility, the M1 MacBook Air will run many iPhone and iPad apps, meaning things like shopping and banking apps can be at your fingertips without pulling out another device. It’s still plenty powerful, though, with impressive performance when editing photos, video, and audio, and while it doesn’t offer the same caliber of speakers that the MacBook Pro does, it does work effortlessly with AirPods and Beats headphones. Keeping everything on the same piece of silicon means that the MacBook Air spends less time ferrying data from multiple points – and reduces battery drain significantly, too. The M1 chip inside has 8 cores, and the 8GB memory is unified between the CPU and the GPU, which are all included in the system on a chip (SoC). In fact, in our review we said “the MacBook Air is the perfect laptop for anyone that wants to fire off emails, scroll social media, and play Mac games.” That portability makes it an ideal laptop for students, but it's not just a lightweight laptop – it backs up its price tag with some impressive power and features. The MacBook Air M1 maintains the classic design that made the original so infamously thin, with the fan-less laptop packing everything into a chassis that measures 0.16-inches thick at its thinnest point.
